Many are surprised to learn that God’s initial purpose for humanity is not portrayed in Scripture as something seemingly more spiritual, like what we think of as worship. Instead the primary human task is described by God as a much more mundane activity – engaging our world for him in our work.

The problem is that people normally separate worship and work in a way that God doesn’t.

The problem is that people normally separate worship and work in a way that God doesn’t. Most of us see worship as merely engaging our heart’s affections by offering up our prayers and praise to God. That is worship, but biblical worship is much more.

In this video you will learn the relationship between work and worship and how this corresponds to how we live our lives before the Lord (Corem Deo).

In this 6-Lesson Course you’ll be equipped to:

      • Explain why work is a blessing meant to give our life purpose
      • Recognize God’s calling to honor and worship him in our work
      • Understand how our work makes a difference in the world
      • Teach how God prepared our good works before we were born
      • Explain how God’s mission in the world relates to our work
      • Describe why our work matters, not just now, but forever

This brief video (7:25) will help you understand how one of the most significant ways God means for you to worship him is by serving him in and through your work.
